The Making Of The Beat
Beat Construction
Bpm 175
Breeze set the bpm to what the bar count that was in my mind to make the beat and song.
Scale
The scale used to construct the song is the D-Minor scale. Most chords and melodies are used on that scale except in some spot to create tension to the sound.
Pre-Production
After choosing every sound, Breeze makes sure to adjust the level of the sound itself before adjusting it with the mixer so that, if the sound is peaking within the sound itself will come out a cleaner mix in its own space due to not having to lower the sound in the mixer with a bad signal. It’s better to turn up a sound that’s lower than turn it down because it’s the way too high and Breeze put every sound in the same root key.
Kick IH
I added fruity parametric EQ to take out some of the muddy parts of the base and boost the parts that make the kick whole. Kept the kick centered in the mix.
Snare TR
I put the snare 33% to the left and put 25% of the sound on a reverb aux to put the sound in the same environment and make the sound wet.
Closed Hi Hat
Breeze Added Izotope Imager to make the hats wider sounding to the Hi-Hat and EQ’d the Hihat to give it it’s own space in the mix and it panned 25% to the left in the Mix. The Closed hi Hats that are found throughout the song Chorus, Breeze added 25% of the sound to an Aux Channel with a Set Reverb to keep everything in the same place in the mix and make the sound not as dry.
Open Hit Hat
The Open High hat is only found the Chorus and Breeze Eq’d it to make it sound more solid in the mix. Breeze added it to an Aux Channel with 25% on a Set Reverb to keep everything in the same place in the mix and make the sound not as dry.
Snare Up
Used this snare to accent the other snare to make them sound more powerful.
You won’t believe what breeze survived…
Kontact 5
I used Trap Sinatra Pop Hit Piano keys for the piano and used the modifier knob to make it sound off-key. I put 25% of the piano sound to the reverb to make it wet and put it in the same environment as other sounds.
Arp
The Arp sound comes in as soon as the beat starts and was left outside the reverb to cut through the mix differently. The arp is performing at half speed.
The Violin
The Violin was moved 40% in the mix to give it its own place in the mix. 25% of the sound was sent to an aux with reverb to put it in the same Environment.
Arp
The other arp is used on the breakdown part of the song.
Break down
The breakdown part of the song is was meant for Breeze to perform something different to give the listener something to hold onto.
During that time the 808 and even the bounce of the song are meant to give a whole different type of feel.

All parts instruments are the same during the breakdown but all have the underwater effect and slowed down.
There is a different reverb used to give it distinction.
